The one big secret to making a fortune on the web

By Peter Simmons

Read on to find the one big secret to making a fortune on the net...

Trading

In the real world, in the street, you have to have something to sell to make money. That might be objects like books, cars, foodstuffs, alcohol or drugs, they are all commodities and they are sold for profit. You can also sell your services, either professional, skilled or unskilled labour for money. Many of us earn a living in this way. People who try to sell you an empty paper bag are called con artists.

Internet trading

The same goes for the net; you have to have something to sell. This may seem self-evident, but there appear to be an inexhaustible number of people who haven't understood that simple fact, and they are the ones who get scammed, they are looking for something that doesn't exist, the perfect way to make money which is easy, takes just a couple of hours a day and makes more money than you could spend so they can join the super rich and...

Internet marketing

If you look at any of the 'internet marketing' sites of which there are millions, they are all offering the same thing, something for nothing, or in this case, a dream in return for a relatively small amount of cash for their 'magic system' or 'golden bullet'. There might be an ebook explaining the method in detail, or more normally there are likely to be a dozen ebooks all packaged together in an unmissable deal, as well as an automatic website creator which will set you up with a thousand web pages all of them complete with google ads. to make you millions and a pack of vital web tools, and so on. The offers become more and more 'unmissable' and many are [by coincidence] just about to close! That the time and date of the offer closing updates for each new visitor hasn't occurred to them. Best jump in now and grab it while you can!

Not really

Bad idea. It will turn out to be yet another interminably long exhortation to enjoy the good life, complete with happy, grateful clients who made it big grinning out of the pages in full colour, testimonials with important looking seals guaranteeing probity, and all the rest of the glitzy ephemera to entice the unwary into parting with their credit card details. Whether these card details will be used in a direct card fraud is anyone's guess.

Sucked into a web

And they all seem to interlink, you keep noticing the same names cropping up, the same language used, the same website look with lots of coloured text, mostly courier and bold, a lot of exclamation marks peppered about complete the image of excitement barely contained. The price kept to a level where no one will think it a huge outlay. Jargon predominates, and it can be difficult to follow as there is rarely a logical narrative, rather, there's a constant stream of phrases designed to direct your thinking down a predefined path. They sometimes offer products which explain in detail how to control people and make them part with their money while employing them to get you to part with your money! I love the irony.

Some make lots

Of course there are people who make money this way, the originators of the idea, those who have been milking the gullible for years, because with all their muultiple income streams they now have people doing the leg work for them and can come up with even more convoluted 'marketing opportunities' which are going to make a whole new batch of internet millionaires and YOU WILL WANT TO BE ONE OF THEM!!! But ultimately, as with all MLM schemes, there's nothing to sell except the idea of making it rich. MLM [multi-level-marketing] is the modern equivalent on the web of the old pyramid schemes which flourished before computers took over our lives. The people at the top of the pyramid make the dough, those underneath the top layer less so, and those on the bottom make nothing but do all the work. And the work is getting fresh people onboard, selling the only thing they have to sell, the dream of becoming rich overnight. As each new person is brought in, they then work to bring in others in order to boost their own earnings and so on. In theory.

The versatility of the net

The net appears to be all things to all people; it's a shop window for shops and other businesses with things to sell, it's a venue for artists of all kinds to show themselves off and publicise what they have to offer, it's a place for millions of people to write about their [often uninteresting] lives, it's a place for professional services to be traded and deals made, for music to be downloaded and chitchat swapped. And it's also a sea of entrepreneurial sharks, cruising, looking for prey.

Don't believe the hype

So if you are one of those people looking to make a living on the web, don't believe all the hype of people making tens of thousands in a week/month etc. They are made up for your benefit. The simple answer is there IS no way for you to make a living on the web; unless you have a skill to sell, or a collection of books/records/ebooks/antiques etc. You can make a living designing websites, but as there are already millions trying this way, I wouldn't count on it. One thing's for certain, you aren't going to make a living by 'marketing' because to market, you have to have something to market. You'll waste hundreds of hours reading all the hyperactive stuff written about making a fortune, and still be none the wiser. At some point you will be required to shell out money, which is when your role in this wonderful enterprise becomes clear. If you can already program, best get a job.

To see the things in a so pessimistic way it´s not the real story.

There is work involved but, anyone can replace their 5-9 with some heart, desire and changing some mindsets.

Nowadays the interaction of people with like-minded ones in a specific niche has turn a lot of average people in persons that live from their online business very much better than going to a job they hate.

I won´t tell you that in days or weeks but in a few months period it is possible just learning the know how.

Indeed you are writing in a very interesting site that is helping to plenty of us which live from our online earnings to get very valuable back links to our sites that is part of the whole system to achive success online.

I hope this helps.

Best Regards,

While there are exceptions and there are people that have made a lot of money on the web, it is true that most people will never make a living on the web. And those that do work very hard and very long hours usually! Be sure to always investigate thoroughly any site saying you can become rich and make thousands per week! It is very rarely one can get rich without working very hard for it! Thanks for the intel!

I have been an on-line marketer for almost four years; however, the bulk of my annual income is from real people contact (socials, flee markets, fund-raisers ...) I got involved with Google and learned that I could make more without their resrictions that emerged from their debacled purchase of "clickbank" ~ Google can afford purchasing troubled companies ~ losses to Google reduces their tax burden; however, the inherited click bank data base was valuable to Google's collection of on-line data bases.

I thank the "cyber gods" for creating independent sites that are not influenced by established gurus and corporations. Also beware of someInternet Technician specialists and engineers (they plant programs to study and steal original ideas from sites they work on.
