Soldiers cannot be wimps
There's currently a problem for the UK armed services, they aren't popular and members walking the streets in uniform are being insulted, reviled and attacked. Tough. You signed up to be the politicians bullyb boys, to go and kill foreigners wherever the political inadequates sent you, you signed your personal freedom away and swore to obey orders. So tough. You have all been in Iraq or Afghanistan killing civilians, killing children, helping the US to totally screw over the country so it is disfunctional, and you want a hero's welcome? Pathetic. These people are just hired mercenaries. They are there to carry out orders no matter what insane, illegal or just plane immoral adventures morons like Blair and Brown want to send you on. Your compliance makes these creeps the arrogant shits they are, without an army to push other countries around what weight would they carry internationally? The universal soldier makes it possible, and he, and she really is to blame. It's no good them whining they were only obeying orders, they don't evade responsibility that easily. And as facts seep out of brutality, torture and murder of civilian prisoners, there increasing reason for British people to feel shame at your actions. So quit whining, take your uniforms off and pretend to be civilians. This is what it's like when a war is unpopular. Live with it. You have only yourself to blame. Of course it's different in the US, no one there would dream of doing something so unpatriotic as to insult 'their biys' no matter what depravity they get up to. The right wing concensus in America means you would probably be shot if you as much as shouted murderer at the grunts. But the British have a highly developed sense of fair play and being decent, even to the enemy [perhaps we learned something from the Nazis that the GIs didn't] and opposition to this war has been strong since before Blair decided to lie to the country and the UN to have his adventure with the Chimp.
