Computer Security
If you have a computer and you are connected to the internet, you need protection. It's as simple as that. If you haven'y already got a firewall, your computer is almost certainly infected with spyware, adware and a good chance of malware. It may also have a virus or several. The worst part is that every email you send stand the chance of infecting someone else's computer, as many of these programs copy themselves into emails. There's no excuse to be unprotected, it takes just a short time to install a firewall and anti-spyware/malware/adware on your PC, and the good news is that many are free, at least in a limited, or lite, form. Some protection programs, though, are not much more than advertising, they scan your system, and report what infections you have, but in order to correct all the problems they find, and stop all the alarms flashing that they sometimes employ to scare you into spending money, you have to go to the website and buy the full program. There's at least one program that doesn't charge, that's free for individual use, although if for business use you are expected to pay. This is Securmaker which provides a firewall and a suite of protection programs which can be used to both find and destroy all malware found and also protect you against reinfection. It's a user friendly program with easy to understand menus where you can choose how secure you want to be - Intruder Securer, Computer Securer, Privacy Securer, Multiple Ad Securer,Email Securer and Email-Worm Securer. All are individually managed and set to a level you want, and work perfectly and seamlessly. I haven't noticed any slowdown since installing it, and I'm happy and safe now, thanks to Securmaker.
