American Idiots Part 2
Since writing the previous piece, American Idiot, I have been sent a link to an astonishing video of interviews with Americans in the street. This is gobsmacking, I won't spoil the video for you, but suffice to say the Americans interviewed displayed an ignorance one would be surprised at in a seven year old, others that a 12 year old should know. None of the questions were difficult for an adult, whether a Chinese, British, French, Italian, Namibian, Korean or Australian, in fact anywhere. You just have to have been alive for a while to know the answers to most of them. Others you just have to be alive. Watch the video and be amazed and scared. These people are part of the ONLY superpower, and no country on the planet can oppose them; except Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Cuba... |
